Quandell Price grew up on the South Side of Chicago, the youngest of three brothers. His oldest brother, Deshawn , was like a father figure to him—always reminding him to stay out of trouble, to keep his head down, and to dream bigger than the block. His middle brother, Keandre , was the opposite: wild, quick-tempered, and drawn to the streets.

When Quandell was 14, DeShawn was killed in a shooting at just 20 years old. The news broke him. He remembered how his brother used to laugh, talk about cars he’d buy one day, and brag about the music he wanted to make. All of that was gone in a spray of bullets, leaving Quandell with nothing but pain, anger, and a hole in his family that couldn’t be filled.

Quandell's mother worked double shifts trying to hold the household together, but the streets kept pulling at him. At first, he wanted revenge. He felt like he had to prove himself, like he couldn’t let his brother’s name die quietly. But the deeper he thought about it, the more he realized DeShawn’s life meant more than just another cycle of bloodshed.

That’s when he started talking to a few friends—kids just like him who felt abandoned, overlooked, and forced to grow up too fast. Together, they came up with the name Reckless Living (RL). To them, it wasn’t about being careless—it was about surviving without fear, about taking risks to make their names known, about refusing to live quietly in a world that didn’t expect them to make it past 18.

Quandell became the face of RL. At 16, he carried himself like someone much older, hardened by what he’d seen. The group started as a brotherhood, a small circle bound by loyalty, pain, and the promise that they would never let each other fall victim to the same fate as DeShawn. But as time went on, RL grew into more than just a group of friends—it became a movement on the block, a way for Quandell to channel his grief into something bigger than himself.

Still, he struggles every night with the weight of his brother’s loss. The question that haunts him: Is he honoring DeShawn’s name—or repeating the same path that got him killed?

Name: Quandell Price
Age: 17
Hometown: South Side, Chicago
Alias/Nickname: "Quanny"
Affiliation: Founder of Reckless Living (RL)

Background:
Quandell Price grew up as the youngest of three brothers in a working-class household. His oldest brother Deshawn was the responsible one who lost his life to the streets while his middle brother Keandre lived fast. DeShawn’s death shook Quandell to his core, fueling both anger and determination. Instead of fading into the background, Quandell formed a street group called Reckless Living (RL) with a few close friends. To him, RL symbolizes living without fear, chasing respect, and creating something that his brother never had the chance to build.

Hey nice application.. Just some tips so your application can have a higher chance of being accepted.

Expand on Rule Explanations
  • Instead of short answers like “take a 3-day break” for NLR, explain more clearly:
“If I die in RP, I would treat it as if my character has no memory of the situation leading to their death. I would not return to the same location or interact with the people involved in the situation. I’d wait the required cooldown and create new scenarios elsewhere.”
  • This shows you understand the purpose of the rule, not just the surface answer.
  1. Backstory Balance
    • The backstory is solid, but it repeats in places and leans heavy on tragedy. Add character goals, personality traits, and future ambitions in the city (not just boxing/mother’s death).
    • Example: “Malik plans to rebuild his name through boxing, but he also wants to mentor younger fighters and possibly open a community gym. At the same time, he’s not blind to the temptations of quick money on the streets, which might lead him into conflict.”
    • This gives depth and future roleplay hooks.
  2. Avoid Repetition / Clean Writing
    • Some sentences repeat almost word-for-word in the backstory. Keep it sharp and organized — staff will appreciate a clean, easy-to-read story.
  3. Add More RP Examples
    • They said “I have strong experience in /me’s and /do’s,” but they could show how they’d use them.
    • Example:
/me wraps his hands with old cloth, checking the tension carefully.
/do The crowd would be cheering, hyping him up before the spar.
    • This proves they can write immersive emotes, not just claim it.
  4. Clarify Community Value
    • When asked “What can you bring?”, don’t just say “I will improve the city.”Be specific:
      • Story-driven RP
      • Bringing boxing/fighting roleplay
      • Creating long-term character arcs others can interact with
      • Content creation to boost server visibility
  5. Polish Writing
    • A little more grammar/spelling check would help readability. Doesn’t need to be perfect, just professional enough to show effort. Also this could be formatted better.
